Water Filtration

The purpose of industrial water treatment is to eliminate unwanted impurities from water. There are several different methods of water treatment; these include biological processes, physical equipment, and chemical treatment.Physical water treatment typically consists of filtration techniques that involve the use of screens, Disc, sand filtration or cross flow filtration membranes.

Filtration of suspended impurities, both inorganic and organic in nature, is one of the most important steps in Effluent Treatment Schemes since efficient removal of these suspended impurities is very critical for sophisticated downstream technology like UF/RO membranes, side stream filtration system or even for quality process water. With the long due pollution control norms now in place, even disposal of treated effluent mandates suspended solids from tertiary treated water to be a bare minimum.Pressure sand filters, dual media filters etc. have been used extensively in the past with wellknown operation and maintenance issues such as bio fouling, sand slippage, channeling effect etc. which hampers the downstream water quality. Adhering to the above fact, utilization of effluent treated water has been a big challenge.Harvel Greens offers world class filters and filtration systems including automatic filters most suitable for range of applications

Applications

  • Cooling Tower: Footprint saving and reduction of the chemical products cost.
  • Ultraviolet Filtration (UV):lamps protection, less replacement of lamps and improvement of performance thanks to the lack of shadows and to the high transmittance
  • Desalinization: Reduction of the operational costs by the lower frequency in the change of the cartridge filters. Equipments with self-cleaning devices.
  • Aquaculture: Better output in disinfection treatments (chemical products, ozone and UV)
  • Process Water: Process line protection (extruders, injectors, mining lines…), avoiding unnecessary stops in the productive process.
